The sculptors are hereby invited to send us within a few days 2-3 sketches of statues. All the sketches received will be presented to a panel of judges. The sculptors who are chosen by the panel of judges will be invited to take part in the sculpture competition according to the following arrangements: Duration of stay in Israel: from March 21, 1999 to April 6, 1999 (arrival in Israel on March 21, 1999). Each sculptor shall be paid US$1500 for participation in travel expenses. Accommodation (sleep and board) shall be at the expense of the Municipality of Ma'alot Tarshiha, which is organizing the symposium. Duration of work time to create the sculpture - approx. ten days.

• Height of statue - minimum human height.
• You are required to specify the measurements of the statue in the sketch.

An artistic committee shall choose the most outstanding sculptors, who shall win financial prizes, as follows:

First place - US$ 1500
Second place - US$ 1000
Third place - US$ 500

• The sculptors shall undertake in writing that they shall sculpt at the sculpture symposium the statue which was chosen by the panel of judges and no other statue.
• The stone for the sculpture shall be provided by us.
• Additional materials may be incorporated into the stone.
• In order to enable us to make the requisite preparations, we request that you send us your proposals as promptly as possible.
