The Ma'alot Industry Zone
The industry zone that has developed significantly over the course of the recent years encompasses come 70 factories that employ approximately 3,500 workers from the surrounding settlements: Jews, Christians, Druze and Muslims. The place incorporates traditional industry and productive high-tech industry, part of which is produced for export.
The industry zone spreads on an area of 600 dunam, out of which 150,000 m2 of which 96% is built.
Factories specializing in the following industrial fields are found within the zone:
Electricity and electronics.
Air conditioning.
Stainless steel, metals and metalworking.
Plastic products
Medical equipment
Food
Precision tools
The sales of the factories in 2005 totaled in over one billion NIS out of which 350 million NIS for export.

The index of employment in Ma'alot:
A total of 7,300 employed residents in town.
The locals working in the local industry- 30%
The total of local residents working in the industry – 44.4%
Professional workers- 44.1%
Non-professional workers- 55.9%
Factories that were founded and expanded during 2005:
D.V.S Engineering- a factory for metalworking, employing some 20 workers.
Plasan Sassa- a factory of compound materials, employing some 32 workers.
Mili Pharma- a factory for the production of pharmaceutical containers, employing some 15 workers.
Pascal tying products- expansion.
The following will be built and expanded in the zone during 2006-2007:
